I'm not so crafty................

Lindsay did these ( from Better After ) and I fell in love

She made them using embroidery rings ( like this )

and I was dying to try this - although as much as I am a DIY'er - and a painter of all things, lol - I am really not so crafty,  which is a whole different world unto itself - but here is my attempt - it's not nearly as cool as hers - but I was trying for a more modern look.....................

Not even sure if I like my version so much - but that's what I did last night!

  3. How clever is that? I am SO impressed! They look like the RH orb lights. I wonder if you could rig a way to put a candle in there..... LOVE THEM!!

  4. I think they look great! I love how you've nested the smaller one inside the bigger one. What really added the extra oomph for me was the thumbtacks, believe it or not! I know you can't see them all that great in my picture, but they really finished everything off. You could try silver ones to keep with your modern look, or even spray them black and silver and alternate the colors on your spheres. I'm so psyched you tried this! Great job Suzy!

  5. Hi Suzan, I love this idea! I just found your blog and love your style. I see that you have been using the Annie Slone piant and I think you are doing a wonderful job combining the colors. I am an interior designer and also write a blog. I am wondering how you like the paint and how it "feels" as you work with it. I have a small showroom and have been considering contacting the company about carrying the line here at WDWS in Ohio. Any feed back you can offer will be greatly appreciated. I have joined your site and hope that you will take a look at mine:) Thanks~Penny

Can I beat these spammers at their own game? Probably not - but I'm going
to try my damnedest !!!
